Many people are unaware that former White House Communications Director, Sean Spicer, is also a member of the U.S. Navy Reserves. Spicer’s lesser-known government job sent him on an assignment to western Kentucky this weekend to assess the Blue Angels performance at the Owensboro Air Show.
Mayor Holmes said, “I won’t beat around the bush…we had no idea he was coming until he was here…it was a surprise to all of us.”
Spicer told Enduring Owensboro that the Blue Angels are great at getting people out for the show.
“This was the largest audience ever to witness an air show, period, both in person and around the commonwealth,” he added.
City of Owensboro hype man Kris Kross backed up Spicer’s statement, “there had to be at least 50,000 people downtown, but on the bright side people are already used to not being able to find a parking space down here.”
