Everyone in Owensboro gets excited when a new place opens. Sure, there may be some hesitation if it’s on Highway 54, but people end up making the trek anyway.
However, some people won’t be so quick to try yet-another-fast-food-fried-chicken-joint. Enduring Owensboro spoke with Helen Godfrey who says she’ll have to check to see if the business has any religious affiliations. “With a name like Church’s we have to be careful with our secular money.”
We told Godfrey that the business was named after it’s founder, George W. Church, but she quickly fired back with “Lord almighty, do you believe everything you read in the FAKE news?”
