When riding his scooter, Owensboro resident Scooty McScootface always wears a helmet, uses turn signals, and sits upright. In fact, he’s been riding his scooter for over 15 years and no one has ever noticed him.
When asked if he gets attention on the road, McScootface said, “I don’t guess so. People just treat me like I’m any other vehicle on the road. Nobody takes photos or nothing….just your typical commute to and from work, the store, and church on Sunday.”
McScootface tells Enduring Owensboro that respecting the rules of the road can get a little lonely. “I’m not looking for a big story in the paper or nothing, but if you ever see me around town a friendly wave would go a long way,” he said.
