New Ordinance Could Force Owensboro Residents to Tell Tourists About the Other BBQ Restaurants in Town

You know the routine…you have visitors in from another city and they ask to go eat at that popular BBQ place.

Local lawmakers are proposing a new ordinance that would require all residents of Owensboro to notify tourist of the other BBQ restaurants available in our fine town.

One lawmaker who asked to remain anonymous provided more detail by saying, “We all love that place and dang their sides are good, but we gotta get people out to the other restaurants too.”

Opponents of the proposed ordinance believe it will ruin the “cool local vibe” that the other BBQ restaurants currently have.

Which side are you on?

  1. How petty is this. What about telling them about all the homeless shelters in our area and people can’t afford food. Maybe those BBQ places can donate their left overs and tell our visitors from out of town here good places to eat that donates food. Other than that I tell them go where they can afford.

  2. This is maybe the stupidest ordinance I’ve ever heard of. The local government trying to force people what to say to tourists.Whats next Hitler’s ?

  3. This is communism !! If you can pass a Ordinance like that you can guarantee your no longer viable for reelection.

  4. This has to be the stupidest thing I’ve read in some time. Nobody will tell me what I ‘have’ to say. We all have favorites, but where would it stop? So, tell me about where you get your socks…

  5. You people know this is a satire site right?! Don’t worry nobody is putting the dumb moniker solely based on how ya voted. You arrived there all in your own. PS these site is hysterical!! 😂
